Leverage our expertise in material properties, mechanical performance and durability test approaches to detect design flaws early in your product development life cycle and elevate the reliability of your water pumps, pumpsets, domestic water meters, foot valves and more.
Materials Testing
SITARC has world-class laboratory facilities and qualified and experienced professionals and technicians to monitor, record and analyze material properties under controlled conditions and determine the root cause of product failure promptly and efficiently. This enables businesses to seamlessly address issues and quickly launch their products in the market.
With the availability of a wide variety of materials and elements, understanding material capabilities and limitations is critical to suppliers and product manufacturers.
Mechanical Performance and Durability Testing:
Physical and mechanical testing of water pumps, pumpsets, domestic water meters, foot valves, etc., helps businesses guarantee they meet application performance requirements. These tests also ensure that your products comply with industry specifications. This applies to Engineering, Automotive, Biomedical, Commercial, Oil & Gas, and Construction, amongst others.
At SITARC we conduct a wide range of physical and mechanical testing according to NABL, ASTM, ISO and BIS standards to help raw material suppliers and manufacturers to understand the material and product properties. Our experts have specialist insights and use industry-specific test approaches to generate the relevant data.
We are equipped with cutting-edge computerized universal testing machines and bend and compression test fatigue machines along with advanced software tools to test the following materials:
Our mechanical testing services include:
Hardness testing – We conduct Rockwell Hardness testing, Rockwell superficial testing & Vickers hardness testing, and Brinell hardness testing to measure a material's resistance to shape change.
Tensile testing – We conduct tensile testing to determine the material or product behaviour under tension. Our tensile testing capabilities include wedge tensile testing, axial tensile testing, weld tensile testing, castings tensile testing, elevated temperature tensile and tensile testing for machined specimens. We also conduct full-size tensile testing and yield tensile along with heat treatment.
Charpy impact testing – We conduct sub-size Charpy impact testing and standard Charpy impact testing to assess the energy absorbed during material fracture.
Bend testing - We perform bolt bend testing, weld bend testing, and raw materials bend testing to gauge the products’ ductility and strength.
Proof load testing – We carry out proof load testing on bolts, components, and assembled products using tension testing and compression testing to check the amount of load a sample can support without deformation.
Shear testing – We conduct shear testing on pins, shafts and other similar products. We measure a material's response to shear loading single using shear testing and double shear testing.
